Something is wrong with this picture

This is Jesus Christ. He lived in Galilee, Nazareth and Capernaum. Whenever you see people from the era in which he is purported to have lived...they are smothered in robes and hoods, yet wearing sandals or barefooted. Which is it? Dressing for cold weather or foot gear for warm weather? This disparity in clothing makes me think the whole Jesus thing was a hoax.
