Henry II of Castile (1334 - 1379)
Henry II was born in Seville and died in Santo Domingo de la Calzada at the age of 45. Better known as Henry of Trastámara, he was the first King of Castile and León to be from the House of Trastámara. He became king in 1369 by defeating his half-brother, King Peter I after numerous rebellions and battles. As king he was involved in the Ferdinand Wars and the Hundred Years' War.
